Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in a firing incident at Jawaharke in Mansa district on Sunday.
According to available reports, two others were also injured in the incident in which more than 30 rounds were fired. Moose Wala was rushed to the civil hospital in Mansa in a critical condition where he was declared dead.
The incident happened a day after the Punjab Police ordered the withdrawal of security of his security along with more than 420 people, including former MLAs, Jathedars of two Takhts, heads of Deras, and police officers.

पंजाबी गायक सिद्धू मूसेवाला की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई है. न्यूज एजेंसी एएनआई की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, मनसा जिले में अज्ञात लोगों ने कांग्रेस नेता और पंजाबी गायक सिद्धू मूसेवाला को गोली मार दी. फायरिंग की इस घटना में सिद्धू मूसेवाला समेत तीन लोग घायल हो गए. इलाज के लिए सभी को अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया. मनसा अस्पताल के सिविल सर्जन डॉ रंजीत राय ने बताया कि कांग्रेस नेता और पंजाबी गायक सिद्धू मूसे वाला को मृत लाया गया था.

सिंगर सिद्धू मूसे वाला का असली नाम यह नहीं है, बल्कि उनका नाम शुभदीप सिंह सिद्धू है. उनके पिता एक रिटायर्ड सरकारी कर्मचारी है. जिनका नाम भोला सिंह है. इतना ही नहीं सिद्धू मूसे वाला की मां भी गांव की सपरंच हैं. सिद्धू अच्छे पढ़े लिखे भी हैं. उन्होंने इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग कर रखी थी. वो पंजाब के मानसा के ही रहने वाले थे.
