Punjab Khed Mela 2022|Khed Mela 2022|Punjab Khed Mela Online Registration|Punjab Khed Mela Login:Punjab sports minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said in the khed mela, over 4 lakh players from block to state level in the age group of U-14, U-17, U-21, 21-40 years, 40-50 years and over 50 years would showcase their skills in the recognised sports included in the gradation list. The sports fest would continue for two months and the interested players can register themselves online from August 11 to 25.Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh on Tuesday, the minister said the sports festival would also feature para sports events.

The state-level winners of the gold, silver and bronze medals will get ₹10,000, ₹7,000 and ₹5,000 plus a certificate. Total prize money of ₹6 crore would be distributed. All the winning players would be covered in the gradation policy of the state. The dope tests of the winners as well as the other players would also be conducted.

The minister also congratulated all medal winning athletes from the state who hogged limelight during the recently conducted Commonwealth Games. He said Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has announced cash prize for the 18 players hailing from the state who bagged medals. The players from the state won three silver and four bronze medals. The silver winners would be richer by ₹50 lakh while the bronze winners would get ₹40 lakh each.

The Punjab Government is all set to organise Punjab Khed Mela 2022 from August 29, the National Sports Day, from Jalandhar by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, which will go on for two months with multiple sporting events at block, district and state level.Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh, while giving information for this mega event, said that the online registration was available on a special portal www.punjabkhedmela2022.in
