Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Tuesday announced allotment of one lakh plots of over 1,300 square ft each to homeless Dalit families in the state.Announcing his decision, the chief minister said in the first phase of the allotment, at least 10 plots of five ‘marlas’ each would be allotted to homeless scheduled caste families in each village, where land is available with the village panchayat.
CM said that in the 1st phase of allotment, govt. will allot at-least 10 plots of 5 marlas (1 marla = 272 sq.ft) each to homeless scheduled caste (SC) families in each village.In case the panchayat land is not available, the allotment of plots would be done in the 2nd phase after the state govt. makes arrangement for the land. Rural development and Panchayat dept. has been given the task to monitor the complete allotment process.

Government of Punjab is planning to allot 1300 sq ft plot the each eligible Dalit family of the state. The Punjab government will implement the scheme in phased manner. In the first phase of 1 Lakh Residential Plots for Punjab Dalit scheme the government will serve 10 plots (1300 sq ft or 5 marla) in each village Panchayat & where the panchayat land is not available, the allotment would be done in the second phase after arranging the land.
Amarinder Singh said in the first phase of the allotment, at least 10 plots of five “marlas” (unit) each would be allotted to homeless scheduled caste families in each village.One marla is equal to over 272 square ft of land. Where the panchayat land is not available, the allotment would be done in the second phase after arranging the land, said an official statement quoting the chief minister.
1 Lakh Residential Plots to Homeless Dalit Families Punjab
Scheme will be implemented in Phased Manner.Each Residential plot has the size of 5 Marlas (1300 Sq ft) Lands.In the fits phase on scheme implementation 10 plots in each village Panchayat will be allotted.Scheme is a pre polled promise of the government.There is no date is announce by the government for allotting the plots.
1 Lakh Residential Plots For Punjab Dalit Scheme then you have to wait at this time because the State government only announced to implement the scheme in the Phased manner but they have not declared any application process at this time.
