Stalin on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘ Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme, which aims to equip about 10 lakh youth across the State annually with skills that will help them realise their talents for the benefit of the country. He also launched a new portal for this scheme.The scheme aims to identify, train and offer career and academic guidance to talented students in government-run and State-aided educational institutions. It also aims to offer spoken English lessons to enable students to face interview panels successfully. The scheme will offer training capsules in coding and robotics to keep pace with technological advancements.
A separate curriculum will be created and continuous classes will be offered for students in Classes IX-XII. A mentoring system will also be introduced with the help of alumni,” it said. Depending on the demand, classes on foreign languages will be offered to students to equip them in finding employment abroad.

Naan Mudhalvan scheme Highlights of the I First Project:
1. ‘Nan Muthalvan’ is a new skill development and guidance program for Tamil Nadu school, college students, alumni and youth, not only in studies but also in life.
2. The main objective of the ‘I am the first’ project is to provide 10 lakh young people a year to the country by improving their education, knowledge, thinking, energy and skills.
3. The highlight of this program is to identify and further promote the individual talents of government and government-aided school, college, and university students.
4. Students will be guided on what to study next, where to study, and how to study.
5. Training will be given on how to write in English, speak fluently and prepare for the interview with specialized training to gain individual skills in Tamil.
6. Training classes like Coding, Robotics will be conducted for school students in line with the current technological development.
7. Summer special classes will be conducted with outstanding achievers in each field.
8. Psychiatrists and health practitioners will be consulted on solid food intake, as well as training on fitness, style, dress, manners, and socializing.
9. Awareness about Tamil culture and heritage will be created among the students.
10. All the trainings for this, direct training with the best trainers, online training, training in his college, training as required by the district training will be given.
11. A mentoring center will be set up in each school. For this purpose a separate art program and syllabus will be developed and a series of classes will be conducted for students studying from 9th to 12th class.
12. A system of mentoring will be introduced for students studying in government schools with alumni.
13. The scheme will facilitate the teaching of Foreign Languages to the college students of their choice to ensure employment abroad.
14. Government Vocational Training Centers will be upgraded to Industry 4.0 standard.
15. Depending on the qualifications and interests of the students, enrollment in the top institutes / reputed universities / skill development institutes in the country will be ensured through this series of trainings.
16. Jobs in Tamil Nadu Government and Institutions, Jobs in Central Government and Jobs in Other States will be published as announcements under this scheme and trainings will be coordinated.
17. Trained beneficiaries will be constantly monitored for employment and its continuation. In addition, integrated employment camps will be conducted based on needs.
18. A portal will be created containing all the details of the project.
