What is Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme?
The Tamil Nadu (TN) Government launched the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai (Kalaignar Scheme for Right of Women), or 1000 Rupees scheme, in Kancheepuram, the hometown of C N Annadurai on his birth anniversary on 15 September 2023.
Under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme, the TN Government provides financial assistance of ₹1,000 every month to the women residents of Tamil Nadu.
- The TN Government will deposit ₹1,000 to the eligible beneficiaries in their bank accounts through a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
