Keeping the parity of both the schemes (KALIA and PM-KISAN), the small farmers/marginal farmers may be given with Rs 5,000 for 2019- 20 and Rs 4,000 per year from 2022-21, so that they will get Rs 10,000 annually i.e Rs 6,000 from PM-KISAN and Rs 4,000 from KALIA,” the report said quoting the notification of the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department.

Odisha Kalia Yojana 2022 List New Update 

Naveen Patnaik ji had launched a new scheme named Kalia Yojana and under this scheme, twice a year, ₹ 2000 comes in the bank account of the farmers. Although under this scheme, earlier its amount was ₹ 5000 but now its amount has been increased to 2000. And as you know that its fifth installment came in the month of April and about whose sixth, today Shri Naveen Patnaik ji has made an announcement that on which date the sixth installment of Kalia Yojana is going to come, so today I will talk about it. I will give you all the information as well as give you a beneficiary list of it, if your name is in that list, then you will also get the benefit of Kalia Yojana or if you are eligible for this, then you will also get Kaliya Kiss of this month. Kalia Yojana 6th Installment Date –

So as you know that the last installment of Kalia Yojana came in the month of April and its next installment i.e. the sixth installment is going to come this month. Because as you know that Nuakhai on Gana of West Orissa is going to come on 11th i.e. on September 11, 2022, Navakhai festival is followed in West Orissa. That is why the Orissa government has given its sixth kiss to the farmers as a gift, duty will be done on 11th. In this context, Shri Naveen Patnaik ji has said that to give the gift of Nuakhai to the farmers, we will start DBT work on this day i.e. on the day of Nuakhai. Saying this Shri Naveen Patnaik ji has called a press and has said all this there, then you have to be sure that your money will be DBT on 11th. And as you know that whenever the duty is done, the money does not come on the same day because a lot of people have to send money, so it gets late and as you know that today Ganesh Puja and Ganesh Puja can be done in the bank. Lives on holiday and tomorrow is not a bank holiday even on the day of Nuakhai, then it will take 4 to 5 days for your money to reach your bank account. But you do not have to do anything to get the money, just keep checking your bank account for four to 5 days i.e. from Monday to Wednesday, your money will reach your bank account.

Odisha KALIA Yojana Budget 2022

When this scheme was introduced the government has sanctioned Rs. 5115 crore rupees for 43 lakh beneficiaries. For the year 2022, the state government has passed a budget of Rs. 3195 crore. Under this scheme, the government has disclosed to distribute Rs. 10000/- per annum to each beneficiary. Under KALIA Yojana the state government is going to distribute only Rs. 4000/- rest Rs. 6000/- will be distributed by the central government under PM Kisan yojana. You need not apply for both the schemes separately. If you are enrolled with Kalia Yojana you will get the benefits of PM Kisan yojana too.

Objective of KALIA Yojana

Following are the objectives of the government behind launching this scheme for the farmers:-

  • The first and foremost objective of the government is to relieve the debt-ridden farmers from the debt trap and for this purpose the government has sanctioned more than Rs.10000/- crore.
  • Directly attack poverty by providing financial assistance to the vulnerable agriculture households, landless labourers as well as marginal cultivators of the state.
  • To help 92% of cultivators of the state and almost all needy landless cultivators 
  • To provide an inclusive and flexible support system to the farmers
  • Development of agriculture sector
  • Ensure the agricultural productivity
  • Increase the income of the farmers.

Kalia Yojana Ineligible Beneficiaries Identified

Krushak assistance for livelihood and income argumentation scheme or Kalia Yojana has been launched by the government of Odisha for farmers, cultivators, croppers and landless agricultural labourers. Through this scheme, various kinds of monetary benefits are provided to the beneficiaries so that the income of the farmers can be increased. Till now many farmers have availed the benefit of this scheme. Out of these farmers, there are some farmers who are not satisfying the eligibility conditions of the Kalia Yojana but still getting the benefit of this scheme. The government has identified such beneficiaries. Around 1.04 lakh beneficiaries are ineligible to get the benefit of this scheme.

  • This information has been shared by the agriculture minister of Odisha Mr Arun Kumar Sahu in the state assembly on 24th February 2022.
  • There are 56,14,707 eligible beneficiaries of this scheme so far. Recently the chief minister of Odisha Mr Naveen Patnaik has released the assistance amount under Kalia Yojana for the financial year 2020-21.
