Those provisionally selected will be required to upload the attested copies of the relevant certificates on or before March 23.

The online registration process is underway and the last date to apply is April 10 till 4 pm. The announcement of provisional selection list for YUVIKA will be out on April 20, 2022. Interested candidates can register for YUVIKA 2022 at the official website at www.isro.gov.in. The YUVIKA – 2022 residential programme will be of two weeks duration during summer holidays May 16- May 28, 2022.
The initiative aims to select 150 students from throughout the country who are in Class 9th as of March 1, 2022 and attend a school in India’s territory.

The ISRO young scientist programme has been started, with the broad objective of imparting basic knowledge of space technology, space science and space applications to younger ones. 3 students, studying in 9thStd, from each state and UT of India shall be selected.
The programme includes 2 weeks residential training, involving 4 centers of ISRO viz. VSSC, URSC, SAC and NESAC and a visit to SDSC, SHAR as a part of the programme.
ISRO is preparing to organise YUVIKA-2022. Considering the prevailing pandemic situation and due to uncertainty of school schedules at different states, the dates of the programme is not yet announced to enable the registration. The official announcement will be published only in the ISRO website after finalising the programme.

Those who have finished 8th standard and currently studying in 9th standard (in the academic year ) will be eligible for the programme.
Students who are studying in India including OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible for the programme.
The selection is based on the 8th Standard academic performance and extracurricular activities.
Three students from each state or Union Territories will be selected to participate in the programme. Five additional seats will be reserved for OCI candidates across the country.
Selection Process for the Isro Young Scientist Program 2022 Registration
There are some steps in which students are selected for the Summer Camp of ISRO.
- Students get at least 50% marks in eth 8th class.
- If the students are the members of the science or Space Club then they can get the 5% for the program.
- For their extra circular activity students get the 10%.
- Sports activity 10% marks.
- NCC Cadet gets the 5%.
- For the village and rural areas students 20% is provided for the selection.
Marks obtained in Class ‘VIII’ examination.
Participation in science fair (school / district / state & above level organised by school / district / state / Central government authority) in last three years.
Prize in Olympiad / Science competitions and equivalent (1 to 3 rank in last 3 years at school / district / state & above level) in last three years.
Winner of sports competitions conducted by School / Govt. / Institutions / Registered Sports federation (1 to 3 rank in last 3 years at school / district / state & above level) in last three years. Winner of online games will not be considered.

How to Register for Yuvika Isro 2022 Online Registration?
Interested and eligible students need to first visit the official ISRO YUVIKA page in order to register for the young scientist programme. Students will then have to do the following:
- Applicants have to visit the Indian Space Research Organisation Official Website i.e. https://www.isro.gov.in/.
- Enter the name and email address of the student.
- Then enter the captcha value, and generate OTP, which will be sent to the email address that was provided by the student.
- Students can see their OTP in the Inbox of their email, which can be opened either in mobile or another window in the same PC.
- The received OTP should be entered in the next screen to validate the provided e-mail address.
- Once the e-mail id is successfully activated for ISRO YUVIKA 2020 registration, a unique password is sent to the inbox of the e-mail address.
- Students may then login using their e-mail address as user-id and YUVIKA password.
- The online application form will then need to be filled by providing details such as name, parents name, contact information, school name, academic record, prizes won and so on.
- Relevant documents will need to be produced upon selection to validate the details entered in the form.
