City Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) is all set to come out with a lottery of close to 10,000 homes.Lokesh Chandra, Managing Director, Cidco, confirmed the lottery. A senior Cidco official stated that already over 8,000 homes are being registered with MahaRera, there are many homes that are pending from the last lotteries and the total figure would go close to 10,000 homes.

Good news for people wanting to buy affordable homes in Navi Mumbai. Starting people can apply for homes in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar area. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has floated a lottery of 814 homes of its Swapnapurti Project. Of this 615 homes are for Lower Income Group (LIG) while the remaining are for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.

The registration process has begun, with interested individuals being asked to submit their online applications at lottery.cidcoindia.com. A total of 9,249 low-income homes will be allotted under the lottery scheme.The registration process began at 5pm on September 11. Most of the houses being allotted by CIDCO under the lottery scheme are based in Taloja, located approximately 50-km from mainland Mumbai. CIDCO lottery 2022, which was to be announced around January 26, 2022, will be postponed as Eknath Shinde, the urban development and PWD minister and senior CIDCO officials have tested positive for COVID-19, mention media reports. CIDCO, in January 2022, was to start the lottery process of providing 5,000 houses under the ‘Mahagriha Nirman’ scheme.  Under this Gharkul Yojana, affordable housing units that are PMAY-approved and RERA-registered will be made available to the EWS, LIG and general categories at Ghansoli, Kharghar, Kalamboli, Taloja and Dronagiri in Navi Mumbai.

Participating beneficiaries of EWS category are entitled to get central assistance of Rs 1.5 lakhs and state assistance of Rs 1 lakh, whereas LIG beneficiaries can avail benefit of loan subsidy up to Rs 2.67 lakhs. Adhering to national building code norms, these CIDCO lottery buildings have been constructed such that 15% of the plot area is an open area and has common parking provision for the residents.

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) will come up with a new housing scheme consisting of 5000 houses at the beginning of 2022. These affordable houses will cater to especially the economically weaker section (EWS) and low-income group (LIG) of the city.According to an official from CIDCO, these affordable segment houses will be available at Ghansoli, Kharghar, Kalamboli, Taloja, and Dronagiri nodes of Navi Mumbai.

Eknath Shinde, Minister of Urban Development and Guardian minister of Thane district also tweeted about the plan. In his tweet, Shinde stated that CIDCO will welcome citizens with 5000 houses in New Year and the process of holding a lottery will begin in January 2022.

• You need to create user id and password to register for CIDCO lottery

• Once your user id is creater, fill in the necessary information such as first name, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth, mobile number etc.
