He will then receive a link at his registered mobile number.

This link can then be shared via messaging apps with household members, who can then use the vouchers that come in denominations of $2, $5 and $10.A unique decal will be used to identify participating merchants, with more expected to come on board. Those who are unable to claim or use the vouchers digitally, such as if they do not have a smartphone, can approach community clubs or centres for assistance, such as to print hard copy vouchers.

CDC Voucher Scheme

The vouchers, which can be used at participating hawkers and heartland merchants, must be claimed by Dec 31, 2022, said the five CDCs in a joint release with the People’s Association.Only one member of each household will need to visit the website and log in with their Singpass to make the claim. A CDC vouchers link will then be sent to the registered mobile phone number of the claimant, who can then digitally share the vouchers with other household members.

HOW TO USE THE VOUCHERS

The vouchers will be available in a digital format for easier use, said Mr Lee.

“Merchants should be able to track their transactions better, and receive their payments faster and with less hassle. And residents, too, can have the convenience and flexibility of digital vouchers,” Mr Lee said.

One member of each household will need to go to go.gov.sg/cdcv and login with his or her Singpass to claim the CDC vouchers.

A link with the vouchers will be sent to the mobile phone of the person, who can then share that link with other family members.

To claim the voucher, residents just have to click the voucher link, select the amount they want to spend, which then shows a QR code that can be scanned by the merchant.

Mr Lee said close to 10,000 heartland merchants will be participating in this scheme.

Ms Low Yen Ling, who is the mayor of South West CDC, said that participating merchants can be identified with a teal-colour decal.

For residents who may find it difficult to digitally claim the vouchers, Mr Lee said that they can get help at community centres and clubs, as well as at residents’ committees in areas where there is a higher proportion of elderly.

The vouchers come in S$2, S$5 and S$10 denominations.
