Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page) will no longer be the show’s main characters, now that their conflict is resolved and they’re happily making babies at Clyvedon Castle.
Nevertheless, Dynevor will return to the role of Daphne as a supporting player in her older brother’s love story, although Page is – at least officially – out as the Duke, with his departure from the show confirmed in April 2021.
