Jagan Mohan Reddy will disburse ₹885.45 crore to 4,04,461 farmers as compensation under the ‘YSR Free Crop Insurance Scheme
The compensation amount is being given as part of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojana and State government’s ‘Free Crop Insurance’ scheme .Chief Minister said that Anantapur district in the past was known as a drought-ridden district but the farmers’ fortunes had changed in the last three years thanks to copious rainfall. The government took up farmers’ welfare initiatives in such a way that many states were looking at AP, he pointed out and Rs 2,977 crore was now released towards crop insurance of which around Rs 885 crore were released

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched YSR Crop Insurance Scheme. Under this scheme crop Insurance will provide to the farmers for the loss of all the notified crops due to natural calamities. There will be around 22 notified crops. This crop Insurance will be free of cost. Previously the farmers were required to pay a high premium amount in order to take benefits of the YSR Crop Insurance Scheme.

YSR Bheema scheme is a kind of insurance Scheme which is providing security on the accident to families of poor and unorganized workers of Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, if the beneficiary dies due to an accident or suffers a permanent disability then the insurance amount will be received by the beneficiary’s family member. Through this scheme around 1.14 crore,citizens of Andhra Pradesh will get benefits.
The government has decided a budget of Rs 510 crore for this scheme. Under YSR Bheema Scheme an insurance cover from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh which will be deposited into the bank account of beneficiary family member bank account within 15 days. In addition to this amount, Rs 10000 immediate financial relief will also be given by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Under the scheme, the beneficiary has to pay a premium of Rs 15 per annum.
YSR Free Crop Insurance Scheme helps the farmers very much and the scheme has been launched for the sake of farmers to offer some help to them. In Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister comes with the schemes best possible to help the farmers in their stressful situations.On 26 June 2020, the premium amount under AP Free Crop Insurance was paid by the present government of Andhra Pradesh which was pending by the TDP Government. After that, the Kharif season 2019 premium was also paid by the government of Rs 596.26 crore to 5.94 lakh farmers. But now the number of beneficiaries has been increased under the YSR Free Insurance Scheme.
Benefits and Features of YSR Free Crop Insurance Scheme
Through YSR Crop Insurance the Government of Andhra Pradesh is going to provide Crop Insurance to the farmers.
This scheme has launched on 15 December 2020.
Under this scheme crop loss due to natural calamities will cover.
There are around 22 notified crops that cover under the Scheme

First of all go to your bank branch with your passbook
Now you have to print your passbook
You can print your passbook by yourself or you can ask Bank official to print it
Now you have to check the entries in your passbook
Upon checking you will find out if you have received the benefit amount of YSR Free Crop Insurance Scheme or not
You can even directly go to the bank official with your account number and ask him about YSR Free Crop Insurance Scheme benefit amount
He or she will let you know that if you have received the benefit amount or not

Now a new page will appear before you
On this new page, you have to select your District, Mandal, Village, block, etc
After that you are required to click on submit
The Beneficiary list will be on your computer screen
